Why You Don’t Want It To Be Simple

You know things have to change but what will it cost you if it’s already costing you peace, time, and money? I think the reason simplicity scares some or causes unbelief is because we live complicated lives. Whether that is a busy life, fussy life, dysfunctional relationships with family, spouses, friends or workplaces, it’s all a well worn pattern and changing that pattern creates uncomfortable feelings. Changing can cause a rift in relationships and can drum up fear in you. So, here is the question, how bad do you want the change?

A person conditioned to chaos craves peace but the moment peace presents itself they can’t stand the unfamiliarity of the newness of peace and the create chaos. A cycle. It’s the person that wish their family would stop asking them for money but when they say no they revert back to yes because they don’t want anyone to be upset with them or to never talk to them again (Yeah, some are that extreme). It’s the threat of never being able to talk to that person again or they false narrative that we are family and I must help you even if you never help yourself. So, here is the same question, how bad do you want change?

The NO is simple. The aftermath, not so much because chaos/drama is a hell of a drug. If one gives you small steps and you resist then you are not ready. Meditate for 1 minute. “I can’t. That’s not going to help me. It’s woo-woo.” You’re not ready. If one says to you, create one boundary and consequence, and you say, I tried that and it didn’t work. I tried that and they got angry with me and didn’t speak to me for 2 hours and I gave in.” You’re not ready yet it. You may be ready for the NO. The meditation. The exercises of walk for 10 minutes or cut back on sugar but you are not ready for the aftermath. Last question, how bad do you want change?

Imagine life not having to be tethered to so many health problems, toxic work conditions, bitching and bickering relationships. What would you do with your freedom and peace? And perhaps extra money? Stay in fear and stay trapped or baby step your way to freedom? The choice has always been yours.
