Here we move into the transition of summer to autumn. From hot to cool. From bright greens tree leaves to the multicolored leaves on those same trees. It’s beautiful to witness this transition and a little sad for some as their favorite season slowly fades. The season changes and so does the energy. You’re highly unlikely to be mowing the lawn in the winter or raking leaves in the summer. Moods change. Seasonal depression and sundown syndrome is a thing for many.
Here we are in September. If you are reading this, you made it. What will we continue to see, hear, feel this month with the energy of September simply doing it’s work of transformation? What you feel, what you see, and what you hear are all subjective to your mindset, beliefs, core values, and faith practices. But what is happening, transformation, is not up to you. There will this pendulum swinging from one extreme of “good” and the other extreme of “evil” (or not good, bad, negativity if that makes you feel more comfortable). It’s going to be wild. It’s going to be intense. More of the same for some of us. BREATHE. And breathe deeply and often.
I think grounding yourself in nature, preferably alone, and in your positive belief system or faith will keep you balanced. I think keeping your mind on the spiritual things, dynamic self care, and remaining focused on what it’s important to you and what is before you, are keys to navigating this energy. And when you do escape the cares of this world, escape deeply, and intensely. Escape with great detail. Ramp up your mindfulness practices. Engulf in good vibrational music whether it be gospel or world music. Eat extremely well and take care of your body!!!!
I was re-reading a portion of The Four Agreements this morning and when I read the part, on page 117 about one way a warrior transforms is to be aware. BE AWARE. AWARENESS of yourself, others, the times, the energy, your surroundings. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR INNER DIALOGUE. Be mindful, think before you speak, before you act. You only have so much energy for the day and you have to decide who and what you want to waste it on. This is such a challenge for me as I am an empath and absorb things deeply like a sponge. I have worked and continue to work on wringing things out as quickly as possible. It’s vital this month to ring out the news and the noise. Your vitality, the life in you, the good in you, the light in you is at stake.

Ephesians 3:17 (NIV)
“and Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ”
Malay proverb “A tree with strong roots laughs at storms”
Do not try to save the world or do anything grandiose.Instead, create a clearing in the dense forest of your life and wait there patiently, until the song that is your life falls into your own cupped hands and you recognize and greet it. Only then, will you know how to give yourself to this world so worthy of rescue.- Martha Postlewaite
We must teach ourselves, actively remind ourselves, what being wild means. We must make room for it and invite it back. ~Brian Meier, Awaken the Bear.
