JUNE-KNOW: Are You Insane?

Blue birds squabbling

Have you been doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Have you been arguing with someone about the same thing? Have you been asking someone to change for decades? Have you been thinking the same way, following the same method, tradition, and to no or worsened results? Why? I have heard this saying about it being insanity to do something over and over expecting different results. I agree.

I have heard this other saying “better to deal with the devil you know than the devil you don’t know” and I say, I don’t want to deal with any devil. However, I think we continue a thing out of familiarity, a need to be right, pride, fear of change and failure and a false representation of what faith looks like. Any of these things create a rut and keeps you stuck in a hell your soul doesn’t want to be in.

Start the process of letting go with constantly reminding yourself of what you really want in your life. What did you really want when you got into this relationship? Friendship? Entanglement? Job? Business? Let your soul speak. Your pride has spoken long enough. Your fear has spoken loud enough. Your false faith has spoken enough.

Be honest with yourself.

It’s okay to be wrong about a relationship, a job, a position, a partner, whatever! It’s okay to be wrong and maybe you don’t want to be wrong because you enjoy letting others know when they are wrong. Ah ha! Pride, arrogance, and perhaps narcissistic tendencies. Ah ha! You have problems apologizing because you see it as a weakness or being wrong as a weakness. It takes a BIG PERSON, a MATURE PERSON, a HEALED PERSON, to APOLOGIZE and TO ADMIT TO BEING WRONG. Free yourself and be honest with yourself FIRST. So what if people are talking. So, you are going to let people’s opinion of you keep you imprisoned in a situation that is keeping you insane? I hope not. I pray not.

Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Heal.

Learn from your mistakes. You’ll grow. Growth equals better life skills. Growth equals higher levels of quality existence. Growth means you can help someone else along the way.

Create a mantra this month to help you to let go. My mantra this month, “I don’t have the energy for that (foolishness). My energy is needed for my goals and dreams this year.”

Let go my love. Let go and create the space for something divine. Give your mind and spirit the restoration it craves.

  1. In the Christian faith, the concept of forgiveness is central to the teachings of Jesus. He emphasized the importance of forgiving others as a way to release oneself from the burden of resentment and anger. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”Similarly, the idea of self-awareness and honesty with oneself is reflected in the biblical call to examine one’s own heart and actions. Psalm 139:23-24 says, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. the theme of growth and learning from mistakes is also present in the Bible. In Philippians 3:13-14, the apostle Paul writes, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. the message you shared aligns with many principles found in the Bible regarding personal transformation, healing, and spiritual growth. It encourages individuals to let go of negative patterns, embrace forgiveness, seek self-awareness, and strive for personal development. I hope we all find the courage to let go of what holds us back and embrace the transformative power of love, forgiveness, and growth in our lives.

  2. Blue Jays are among the most confrontational small bids in nature. I wonder if we are much better. Violent, territorial, aggressive, maybe the birds mimic humans?
