“Life is too long to be in bad relationships, friendships, marriages, religion/churches and jobs that drain you.” -Nicole Jackson (me)
I often think of people that have died in these attachments. They never experienced the fullness of love or joy in any of these situations they thought they had to be in for whatever reason. I understand in some cultures, religions, and in life, some of these things are not so easy to “escape” but rather if this is your reason or excuse then you would do well to find you some joy and happiness in other areas of your life. Some find it in raising their children and in the visits of grandchildren. Some find it in their religion if they can’t find it in their arranged marriage or marriage, they feel obligated to stay in. Some find it in their marriages if they can’t find it in their jobs. And so, on it goes. I’ll never be convinced that God assigned you to a hell producing relationship with another person. Maybe churches and religions and cultures do, but God? The Creator of the Universe? Nah. And if you give me an example from the Bible, just remember the same Bible says what is in it has written for our learning. You don’t have to be Hosea. Hosea was already Hosea for our learning. Thank you, Hosea.
If you can get out of these things, if nothing is holding you back but you, your thoughts, your fear, then go for joy. Go for happiness. Go for peace of mind. Peace of mind is everything. I’m not saying go for easy. Go for perfection. That is not going to happen no matter where you go or what you do. There will be trials and tribulation but your whole life shouldn’t be one big burden. One big trial of suffering. There ought to be more good days than bad days. I am grateful for my freedom of choice and I pray for those that do not have a choice…right now.
