Compositions of my life energy

Two Things Not To Waste This Year

Two things not to waste this year is your breath and your energy. I know you have heard of energy conservation and I wrote about this in a blog post sometime back. I will post the link. But your energy and your breath are gifts from the Source of life. Precious gifts at that.

When I say wasting your breath, I do mean it literally. Wasting it to use words in conversation with people about things YOU KNOW or come to recognize mid conversation, this person just wants to argue. This person doesn’t want to dialogue for understanding and enlightenment, they want to push their point or narrative. I hope you are not one of these persons. Choosing your battles wisely applies here. Even when you are dealing with spouses, relatives, partners in relationships, your children. This is going to take some discipline on your part and some grace for yourself. Especially, if you have a habit of going back and forth with people or if you have a habit of trying to control others. It’s definitely going to be a challenge if you are hot tempered and reactive, impulsive and lack self control. Self control is may be your thing to work on in this area. I can tell you that working at certain jobs allowed me to grow and not waste my breath. Especially, when it came to managers and supervisors, CEOs. You say, that’s not going to work because of xyz. They don’t listen. Then it doesn’t work and when it comes to management, I do make it a point at times to say, “WE TOLD YOU SO”. When it comes to people or my child, I choose wisely when to say I told you so. But I rarely say that. I just don’t like smug bosses. (Maybe I should work on that lol)

Controlling your breath and understanding your breath is important. Of course we know breath is vital to life and our organs. But do you know exactly how that works and what stress does to your life and organs? You should do your life homework on breathing techniques and how they help us to maintain vitality to our organs. You should read about how it helps to decrease stress, manage stress, and heal us. No WOO WOO but a little WOO WOO never hurt nobody (I know I should say anyone but, this is my post).

And energy. Energy wasted is something you can’t get back. Energy ties into breath also but, that’s deeper than where I want to go with all of this. Wasting your energy on people and projects that are past their expiration date is like running around in circles and wondering why you are so exhausted and not getting anywhere. Imagine taking that energy and reserving it, using it for things and people that really matter in your life. And if the person or thing in your life that you are wasting energy on really matters to you, and there is no improvement or very little after years, then you probably should spend more time and energy on figuring out why you can’t let go. Don’t waste your energy on arguing with people online. Yes, you can express yourself and yes, you can respond but, choose your battles wisely and learn to recognize when you are going back and forth with a fool. And if you are going on line to find someone to argue with, I am just going to tell you, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM and too much time on your hands.

Energy is a resource. Energy on this planet, in this world, with other people is something you need not waste. For sure, we all will waste some energy this year. But, let’s waste less. Less conserve our energy for the things and people who matter the most and you may need to take some time to figure that out sooner rather than later.
