Change and Transformation are occurring this month and it’s not that it isn’t happening regularly. It’s simply that sometimes in life it is highlighted and obvious and at other times it is in small print and subtle. This month it’s obvious. And not to mention it is Spring and for those of us that move with the seasons and God (and intuition, gut, Spirit, your choice of words), things are budding. Coming to life and in a sense, transforming, changing.

Change and Transformation are partners in the process of progression and one of the best ways to shift your mindset when going through challenging changes and transformations is acceptance. Acceptance, though not always easy, helps you to move along into the next step. It helps you to endure the process of the change or transformation. And from my experience, you may have to accept a very difficult thing or transformation over and over until it sticks with you that “this thing, whatever it is, is happening or has happened and now I need to do what I need to do to move forward”.

Sometimes moving forward looks like healing and sometimes it looks like literally, packing up and moving! In business, you may have to accept something isn’t working and then you seek a solution and “change” what you were doing. You may have to transform your mindset in the process. But it first starts with acceptance.

Think about it this way, if the pipes burst in a building and we don’t accept it as the owner, then we will face the consequences of that building being in ruins and the bill that comes with. We will have to face the consequences. We can refuse, we can pretend, we can stay standing in the building, with the water going all over the place, out of control and eventually ruining what is in it’s path or we can call a plumber, pay the bill and clean up the damage. This is how it can be with difficult changes and transformation period in our lives. Stay stuck or accept and begin the process of moving on.

You may have to accept your past, your childhood, your young adulthood, heck, your adulthood! And then ask yourself, “What’s my next step? What do I need to “NOW”? Acceptance can be the period to end of a thing. Acceptance can be the final chapter of a situation or season. And I must admit, it can be frightening.

As we face our challenges this month, and in life, I pray you find the strength, the courage to accept the changes and transformation occurring in your life.

I change the things I can change and I accept the things I cannot change.

May I have the courage to accept change and the courage to use it for my good and growth.

I find ways to note the light in my transformation and this gives me the strength to endure.

Beautifully expressed. You nailed my own sentiments very well. One big thing that has helped me through life is just accepting what I can’t change (like the past) and being aware about what I need to do to fix now if that’s what needs to be fixed.

Off to a good start with A. Have a great Challenge!
