Get ready to swing from the chandelier as emotions run the spectrum this month. You will see the human behavior at its worse or oddest, and you will also see and experience love at its his highest. In fact, these emotions may run the gamut within you! One minute you may want to scream and yell and the next, you may feel like hugs and kisses to all. Let us try to stay in the middle or on the love side of things. I know personally, it is a challenge this season. I have restrained myself a few times from saying what really came to mind and trying to not make rash and rushed decisions. I am checking and monitoring my behavior. It’s because August wants radical change. Can you feel it? Drastic times calls for drastic measures, they say. But, let’s sit a few minutes with the impact of drastic measures that are not thought out at least a bit. You don’t have to have all the details but just a rough draft, loose plan, if you will. The rest will have to come from trust and your ability to adapt.
Your intuition, the Spirit is available to you in these times. You feel something is off. You sense something ahead. You know what you want but you are also unsure of the methods to get there. Instead of just quitting on a whim or changing on a whim, get yourself to a quiet, safe place. You can call it meditation or you can call it sleep. That’s right. When you get good sleep many solutions and creative ways to solve a problem or do things come to you. Through meditation or good sleep you can gain clarity about your whole life or the current situation. It’s true. I was able to really sleep well last night and depression has lifted. I feel well rested and I have a little more energy. I feel clear headed. And we need that so we can make proper decisions and it improves our mood when we are feeling our best or close to it. Honestly, we are less snappy.
The work of August is effectively breaking away from the chains of the things and people that are holding you back. In reality, you are holding you back by remaining in comfortability and/or fear. You must break away. You must step outside your comfort zone and into the semi-known. Because for me it’s the unknown but I kind of have a clue as to what I want to do and it’s semi-known because I believe the God I have chosen is in the midst of the unknown. If I can remind myself of that when I am feeling the fear, I will be okay.
