Maybe I am the only one who’s ever wondered why flowers make most of us happy. It’s because flowers trigger the release of dopamine. Dopamine is associated with positive emotions like joy, happiness, and love. One reason I like to have fresh flowers in the house is because each time I walk into the room where the flowers are I remember, “Oh, yeah. Flowers are here” or I think to myself, “Hey there lovely.” For that instant, I feel a little “zoetic” or lively. I was standing in my yard after we put flowers in the ground and I realized I had a smile on my face. They flowers made feel cheerful. I often think when I pass my houses that have beautiful landscape and flowers there must be some “cheer” in that house. Or walking into a place and there’s some sort of elaborate bouquet that you can’t take your eyes off. You want come closer to observe the colors and the type of flowers. Flower Power.

As May saunters in, and we welcome it, what’s your solar plexus feeling like? You’re like, say what? What’s your power house, power within feeling like? Are you confident? Are you prepared? Are you cheerful? Are you zoetic?(https://nikkisconfettilife.com/2024/04/30/z-so-zoetic/) Or are you none of these things? If so, it’s okay. Are you some of these things with a side of fear, uncertainty, wobbly-ness? If so, at ease. This, too, is okay.

“May” be there is a little adventure in your soul. Where will you travel to? Far away or one town over?

And perhaps the confidence is brewing. This can be very good. Building it up. Just be careful not to be overly confident which brings about the stench of arrogance. And let us be clear in the way we communicate our thoughts, feels, and needs. How? Practice PAUSE. Pause before you say it. Pause before your response. You may be yelling about the shoes left in the middle of the floor but, really feeling like you are not being heard.

Inspire. Inspire others and let nature inspire you. Let your spiritual practice inspire you. Move beyond the surface of it. Move beyond the “religion” of it. Move beyond the “traditionalism” that restricts and constricts. Move beyond the denominationalism that divides. How else will you be able to INSPIRE and not conspire to conquer and divide.

Spring is resourceful. It takes what it has stored up and what it has been given to come forth. There is also some cutting back to flourish. You are resourceful. Use what you have and what is now being poured into you to come forth. Take the cutbacks, the missteps, the setbacks, and flourish. My, my, my! Aren’t you a sight to behold!

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? -Matthew, writer of the Book of Matthew
