Get On With It

IMG_20181227_162721_431

Pray, Meditate, Coffee-nate. Yes, emotions are temporary BUT at that moment you’re feeling every bit of whatever you’re feeling. You’re struggling to overcome them means YOU’RE FIGHTING, PUSHING, PRESSING and sometimes you just have to float because you’re tired. Float or Fight but once you get through, put your big girl panties on or your big boy boxers, Hell, go commando and get back to work, life, love, living. Trust, I fought yesterday and I’m floating today. I’m working as well. These dreams are not going to come true on their own.

Sunday Morning Coffee Musing: What You Have Need Of

e33038a3482f8faf68b007ef6946b710

You’ve been blessed with an inheritance, a lump sum of money, you won the lottery, or you have a good job or career and have managed to put away for retirement. Yet, you worry from time to time or constantly about the future and if you will have enough. Maybe, you are young or old, have a large family or a single parent, and you are doing the best you can. Let me tell you briefly, about my situation.

I am in my early 40’s, approaching my middle 40’s ha! (No, I don’t look it and thank you!) Well, I happen to become ill, could no longer work, blew through my savings to survive and raise a daughter that will be graduating from high school next year. I found myself in the disability process for three grueling years. I won my case. And I thought it would be a sigh of relief and it was. However, like any person that has to start from a setback, start from rock bottom, I worry. But and on my anxiety and man, it takes on a whole other form or worrying. How can I make it off this? What will I do when the surplus runs out? Will my other dreams ever take off so that I don’t have to be on disability? What happens in 3 years when I go for a review? What if they say I am okay and I don’t need it? What kind of job will I be able to do at 46 with my illnesses? Will I ever get the home I want? You see where I am going and then loop that in your head all day. That is anxiety. Go to bed and wake up thinking about the same thing.

This morning I heard this in my spirit, “There is no sense in worrying about tomorrow. Tomorrow has enough trouble of it’s own. You can’t add one day to your life by worrying.”

And then I thought, but don’t you have to plan for the future?

Spirit:”Be wise like the ants. But they don’t worry. And consider the birds in the air, the are fed everyday. The flowers are clothed and they don’t worry.”

Me: “But, what about my dreams, and goal, and plans, and life? What about that abundance? What about prospering? I don’t want to struggle until I die!”

Spirit: “God knows the plans created for you. God knew you before you existed in the womb. God molded and shaped you. You are carefully, and wonderfully me. The Creators plans for you are to prosper and to be in good health. You have choices. Choose life. Choose the things that will better you. Go for it. Do it. Be wise. Use knowledge. And God  knows the number of hairs on your head. Not one falls without his (her) knowledge.”

Me: Let me blog this and hope it helps someone else.

God, the Creator, the Universe, knows what you have need of. God’s plans are always for you to triumph, be at peace, be in good health, and to prosper. But you do have to do your part and if you’re doing your part, researching your part, then do not worry. God will do the rest. The Universe is working for you, always and never against you.

God’s Signs, Times, and Rhema for Your Life. In Tune.

635770247153771019-1730449995_fall-leaves-in-park-wallpapers-1024x768

Being in tune with God for your personal journey on this Earth is pertinent to living a COMPLETELY successful life. I am talking about prospering and being in good health (and even in that scripture there is a deeper meaning). There are seasons to your life. There are signs for you. There is a time that you should be doing something. There is a “rhema word” specifically for you and only you.

How do I know the signs, times, and hear what God is saying to me? Well, in order to be IN TUNE, one must DAILY COMUNE. Prayer? Yes. Often. Listen? Yes. Always. Look at the sky. Observe it. Stand there in the middle of nature. Feel it. See it. Find a tree that you see everyday. Look at it often. Watch it change. Nature speaks. Read. Read your religious book. Read books you are guided to at the appointed time. Sometimes I buy books but it’s not time for me to read them. It may be months or a year later. Sitting with creation is sitting with the Creator. Sitting in silence, meditative in your activities, is all communing. You only have to pay attention. Even exercising can be communing with God. After yoga, you lay there, and you give the body time to slow down. It’s the cooling off period so to speak. As the body settles down the mind does, too. Right in that moment, you can hear from Spirit.

God’s voice wasn’t in the strong wind, the earthquake, the fire, the gentle wind, after all of that, Elijah heard a voice. (1 King 19:12). Elijah heard, felt, and saw all of that and then he heard a voice. A calm voice I believe. I have no time to debate whether the voice was from without or within, in his head or heart. That is not for me to discern. I am only here today to tell you this, “In order to be in tune, you must comune.-Nicole Jackson”

Sunday Morning Coffee Musings: Human Mother to Robin Mother: Nature vs Nature

20170423_081127

This week I battled a robin that wanted to build her nest on the rafters of my carport. When I first saw the formation of the nest, I knew it had to come down before it was complete. So, the maintenance guy got it down. The reason that it could not be built there is because if the bird lays eggs it’s illegal to remove the nest and if it builds it where I park my car my daughter and I would be in danger of an attack from a bird protecting her young. And I guess you can say, I was protecting my young as well. It was sort of a woman to bird, mother to mother, type of situation.

Within an hour she was back building again. I was back to stop her. This went on for hours. The night came and when I woke up the next morning…she had started again. We went at it for about an hour and a half. I realized as my arms begin to hurt and my shoulder swelled, I couldn’t keep doing this but, I couldn’t let her build there. Also, the stress elevated my blood pressure. At physical therapy, the PT said “Hey I had that happen to me. I read up on it just like you and I put a plastic owl where the bird wanted to build and it never came back.” So, I thought about the creepy owl I bought for winter decor and when I got home I put it in the rafters. Since Friday, I have not seen the bird. I pray she has found somewhere to build and lay her eggs. I am assured by the wisdom of Matthew in the Bible: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them…”

When it comes to problems in our lives, whether it be an illness that turns your life upside down or financial choices, a work situation or a life situation, somewhere in the daunting task of persistence there is a solution. There is a happy medium. There is a method to the madness. And as I trudge through one of the most difficult times of my life, if God takes care of the birds of the air, feeds them and clothes the flowers of the field…how much more will he take care of us? Our angels sends advice, we look up a solution, we try different things, we realize what is not working and soon the solution surfaces. The outcome may not always be what we want at the time, a temporary solution until the a permanent one arises.

Sunday Morning Coffee Musing: RA Blog: An Extraordinary Life

img_20170108_102849_994

I have a word of encouragement to all, but especially for those who have  rheumatoid arthritisfibromyalgia, lupus or any other illness or chronic pain. You can still live an extraordinary life and you can still leave an extraordinary legacy. Now, how you do that is totally up to you, but I urge you to ask your Source. Whether you are waiting on healing or whether you have accepted this assignment, I don’t know. But in the meantime you must reach beyond your pain and into your heart. And let me point this out to you; the extraordinary is not so much found in what we think we are, material things or grand adventures, who we were before this illness/dis-ease, we were extraordinary then and we are NOW. The extraordinary can be found in everyday things and people that surround us. And most of all within! Maybe you have recently found out you have one of these illnesses or dis-eases and you are devastated. You are trying to find your bearings. Don’t worry you will. I’m speaking from experience and when you do, when you come up with your new game plan, with your new approach to life, I will still urge you to live this life with extraordinary #action #thoughts #compassion #love#truth #wisdom #courage #boldness and #passion. Life itself is #extraordinary all on it’s own. And the truth is while these things physically attempts to wreak havoc on our bodies (succeeding or not) and life, here is something to remember…the real battle is either won or loss in the mind.

The Unfolding of Instructions

8835f000f617e8015607145567bcb19b

Last year instructions for my New Year were laid out in one big dreaming session. However, this year it seems to be coming in quietly, steadily, and unfolding.  I am use to God dealing with me through many methods so I am comfortable and I think I needed it to be slow this time. I honestly can appreciate this method. I am a bit worn out from 2016 and the Excavating of My Authentic Self. I suppose when the word Liberation was dropped into my spirit, it was on time because after you excavate something it has to be freed from that which has preserved it. It needs to be a gentle process. It is fragile, yet precious and you want to keep it intact.

So I wanted to share the book that I used to help me grasp my authentic self in 2016 and the first book of instructions in my Liberation Journey 2017.

I actually purchased these two books towards the end of 2015 with no idea I would be using them in a journey. I was given the dream in 2015 on New Year’s Eve about Becoming my Authentic Self and well I had the book right in my possession to assist me. I will say it was a great help along with the Word of God (for me), messages, dreams and life experiences that seem to coordinate like a perfectly crafted course by the Creator. I thought I would use the other book last year, but I didn’t get too far into it. I think this is the book that will start off my liberation. I need to be liberated in my finances. It has been crunch time for almost three years since my illness. I have drained savings and feel the strain on my family. Yet, time is approaching where all of that is about to be over and certainly this is one area I will be liberated in. It would only seem fitting to take a totally new approach to finances and also there has been a mention of stock courses. You see, there is always a way to rebound and recover abundantly!

I don’t know what is next in this liberation course the Creator has designed for me or we have designed together at some points I am sure. I certainly would like for my lack of a love life to be liberated! (lol).

Pure Gold Nuggets

Trials deepen your relationship with God when you’re rooted in the Word. #puregold

In order to be “made” you have to go through the fire. #puregold

Sometimes you go through for your story, but it’s always  for God’s glory. #puregold

You can take it. You can survive it. You can thrive. Nothing can put out your fire. 🔥 You are the fire! You don’t even smell like smoke. #puregold

You may not fully understand these things that have happened to you. But, you understand who created you. When it’s all said and done, when the smoke clears, you’ll still be standing. You’ll be standing in abundance. #puregold

They think you’re done. They think you’re washed up. Everything has been burned to the ground. But in the midst of the rubble and the ashes, you’re still alive. Save your ashes. God will trade you your ashes for beauty. #puregold

God “ain’t” (has) never left you. What kind of parent do you think God is? Life wasn’t designed to always be easy and neither was it designed to always be hard. Take a closer look and tell me your good days don’t outweigh your bad days. Truth be told, better choices lead to better days. A better relationship with the Creator leads to better days. Treating people right leads to better days. #puregold

Just Keep Writing/Creating/Dreaming

385c5e1314a4bb2f985f5b84b3eeb203

As a writer and an author, if I were to be honest with you (which I choose to do because why not?), being a babe in this industry can be frustrating, confusing, challenging, discouraging, and frightening. Literally, for those of us who are starving artists and care more about the art than being fed at times, until you hear the growl in your belly or notice the negative sign in your bank account. We work, we hustle, we do whatever we can to produce the best work possible. Many of us don’t have big bank accounts to match our big dreams. At least, not yet. However, we will save, we will sell, we will do whatever it takes to see the pieces of works manifest.

I have two novels I need edited. I have learned the hard way, the hard headed way, I cannot edit my own books. So as I vet our editors, I also vet out pricing. In average I need about $350 per book for the editorial services I desire. I do some soft editing, writers organization and consulting, book formations (manuscripting) and etc. for a heavily discounted price. I’m like the blue collar consultant (lol). Right now my two novels are on soft release on amazon. Before I go full fledge promotion, I want them to be the best they can be grammatically. I have received amazing feedback and I know I have the gift.

I wanted to encourage some writers, artists, creators today because I had that tiny feeling that “things are not going my way as easily as I had planned! Not as quickly as I want them to!” When deep down inside you know this is like the artist “right of passage.” Your initiation into the creative world.

JUST KEEP CREATING! JUST KEEP SAVING YOUR COINS! JUST KEEP WRITING! KEEP COOKING! KEEP PAINTING! AND NOW I SHALL BREAK OUT INTO THE CHORUS: “DON’T STOP!…BELIEVIN! DON’T STOP! BELIEVIN!” #JOURNEY Sing along everybody!!!

Sunday Morning Coffee Musings: Yin and Yang

Cup of coffee and clementines

Have you ever had a week where it seems as if as much good news you received, you would receive some bad news as well? You are happy and sad, joyful and concerned. Mixed emotions. How can I be upset when this very good thing happened? How can I be happy when this sad thing happened?

The Yin Yang symbol or concept is that everything in the universe has two opposing forces, yet complimentary to each other. The symbol itself has specific meaning from it’s circular appearance to the way the black and white intertwines. One aspect of this symbol and concept is that one thing dominates for a time and then it is replaced by something else that dominates. Such as Life and Death. Also the black circle in the white part of the symbol and the white circle in the black part is an interaction of each force in all things.

We experience the Yin and Yang in life on a more noticeable level during some periods of our lives. For me it was this week as I made great strides towards advocating for myself with my doctors and nurses. I had breakthroughs concerning a particular ordeal. And then I was dealt some blows. My emotions were pulled in many directions as I was rejoicing, feeling optimistic and also feeling aggravated and concerned. I could say “Oh just focus on the good” and while that sounds logical and spiritual, I thought I should just “feel” until things mellow out. You know how a scale moves until the things placed on it of equal weight balances out? Yeah, I think that is what needed to happen. So this morning, I am balanced in my emotions through the process. I revel in advancements made and I take care of the necessary trouble brewing.
