I’ve got this brilliant idea. What if we only use things invented by human beings based on race, culture, country and religion that are the same as we are? I didn’t think so. What if you could only eat foods that were in your culture? I mean if you hate another race or think yourself to be better, why would you want to enjoy their food and travel to their country? And, what if the people you don’t like were missing from positions in places you receive services? What if you walk in a restaurant and the chef is Japanese but you don’t like Japanese people? Therefore, they couldn’t cook your meal and the chef who is of your race is off that day. That would suck for you. What if you couldn’t receive the surgery you needed because an African was the surgeon on duty and you preferred an Asian because you are Asian? Oh, well. Maybe you will make it until your surgeon arrived. Maybe not.

What’s the matter with your heart? Maybe you are not biased or sexist or racist but maybe you have some trauma or heartache, heartbreak that is keeping your heart in a sad or bitter space. This year your heart will be challenged to change! I know. Scary.

You’ll have to look within your heart and figure out what is blocking you from living a full life with gusto. If you are living in the past, you are not living. If you are living in the future, you are not living. If you are living with hatred, you are not living.

The first thing you will have to do is turn the lense on yourself and search your heart for all the things you KNOW are not RIGHT. Right is not subjective. Right is right. You’ve been telling the story about what they did but what are you going to do to get past it and heal? You have been taking your frustration, your hate, your failures out on other people, races, cultures. Why? What’s wrong with YOUR thinking that you would “by enlarge” all races? Yeah, it’s going to be a rough ride for some.

“Heart work is HARD work.” -Nicole Jackson. This year will present you with some heart work because the heart is part of the WHOLE you.
