There is more to this world than “meets the eye”. There is more to this world, people, and situations than YOUR NATURAL EYE CAN SEE. Do you have an imagination? Yes, you do. You have the ability to see beyond what is there and what exists. Someone imagined the surface you may be sitting on. They say it in their mind, in their mind’s eye before it became a reality. Have you ever “just knew” something? How? Did you see it or feel it or both? Call it intuition, a gut feeling, the Holy Spirit but whatever it is, all three even, is the ability to see, feel, that there is more to things than we can perceive. And if we happen to perceive beyond what we SEE, what a blessing! If we can trust what we feel, what a blessing!

The totality of YOU this year may be honing in on going beyond what SEE. Go deeper into or above it. My neighborhood looks different from above than it does with me standing in my driveway. I can only see so far. If I meet a woman and she says I have been to prison and my immediate thought is, “She must be a bad person or I am not shocked because of her race”, boy do I have some work to do on SEEING into, beyond, and over a situation.

The totality of YOU this year may be saying, TRUST your intuition, your gut, the Holy One to guide you into ALL truth. There you are thinking facts and words but, we are talking about also being guided to your path and being guided into protection. We are talking about being guided into wisdom and discernment. A situation is occurring and we see it on the news or social media and we say, “I see it and I know that is what happened.” But sometimes, something in you says, “Nah, there is more to this. Something is telling me to wait and see what else comes to light before I jump on the bandwagon.” Let me hold my emotions, thoughts, biases, until things unfold.

Recently, my dad misplaced his wallet. He said he looked everywhere. My mother said she looked for it. My brother came over and turned the place inside out and could not find it. I went over to look in places that had not been looked. I looked behind the dresser. And then I begin to search his closet. I opened the closet door and I say his robe and two jackets. I akse “What about these jackets” as I searched the robe pockets. He said, “I checked those”. But “something” said to me, “Check again.” The same something that prompted me to look one more time. I kind of felt like I was wasting my time but I went anyway. I reached into the jacket he had on when he was with me at his appointment. And there it was! I was only there for 5 minutes and it was found.

This “something” wants to be sharpened in your life this year. Where will you go? What will you see? What will you do? What will you learn?
