Imagine waiting on God and God is waiting on you. Imagine you are stalling, stuck in your own head or paralyzed by fear and YOUR people are waiting on you. In fact, your people need you. Who are YOUR people?
Well, you are called to a particular audience. Every audience, every group of people, are not for you. They are not your people. BUT there are those that resonate with you and your message or gift. THOSE are you people. And if you don’t MOVE in the direction you are being pulled in, guided through, then your people will be waiting on you in a time/situation in which they really need you. Maybe some of them will find someone or something to get them by and maybe others will not. The fact of the matter is there comes a time where it’s time for you to step forward. Boldly. Quietly. Or both quietly and boldly. Either way, they are waiting on you. No more lingering and flirting with your destiny.
I know my people are waiting on me. I have searched and found the ones I were waiting on and thank goodness they were available in my time of need. I am talking about teachers, leaders, pastors, ministers, professors, authors, speakers, spiritualists, a person at the gym or in the marketplace that was bold enough to be themselves to pour into me. And someone is looking for you. They are waiting on you. They are waiting on me.
What’s keeping you behind the curtains of your gifts, talents, callings? Is it fear? No matter what it is, it’s probably a form of fear. For me it is fear of what people will say about me. I don’t care but, I do care. I know I am a sensitive soul. I know some things said about me, if it makes its way back to me, will hurt. Whether I believe it or not. Why? Because I hate to be thought of in a negative light. So, I go forth and I go back. I take a step into boldness and then I draw back. I walk in my authentic self but, when it comes to my type of ministry, I tip toe. Working out this fear is where I am in my authenticity. I need to walk firmly with confidence and clarity. So, I am working on it and while I am working on it, I am taking calculated, intentional risks. I know I am called to be WHO I AM and ALL of ME not only for such a time as this but also from here on out.
I get it. So many unanswered questions can leave you feeling doubtful. I get it. You might be in the GAP of where you are and your destination. You are in the air so to speak. You got on the plane but, you have not landed. Or you have landed and now what?
I simply know what I am to be doing right now. I do not know how I will get to where I am going. I just know what to do now because I saw signs, I asked for clarity, and it came. It came several times in many ways. I am just doing this NEW thing until I get the next instruction. Get still. Get into meditation. Get into prayer and ask, “What is it that you will have me to do now while I wait?” It will come to you and DO IT.
Your people are waiting on you.
