I couldn’t let go of the idea of Kinetic Energy. I wanted to use the letter K for something else but, Kinetic Energy was stuck in my head. So, I looked it up in comparison to Potential Energy. Also, I thought about skipping rocks. Let me put this together and how it relates to the energy of this month.

“Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, observable as the movement of an object or subatomic particle. Every moving object and particle have kinetic energy. A person walking, a soaring baseball, a crumb falling from a table and a charged particle in an electric field are all examples of kinetic energy at work. An object that is not moving has zero kinetic energy.”

“Stationary objects possess potential energy (the other main type of energy). Potential energy is converted to kinetic energy when a force such as gravity acts upon the object to set it in motion.” – techtarget.com

Things are changing this month. Things are happening to you it seems or maybe for you. Changes come to alter the way you think, perceive things, the way you feel, the way you deal with or handle things, and the way you approach things. How you interpret change is up to you. Is this bad? Is this good? Is this telling me I need to do something differently? What is the best way for me to respond this?

But let’s say these changes prompt you from potential energy (stationary, stuck) to kinetic energy (observable movement) to indeed change your position in this season, this year. You go from staying in an unhealthy relationship to ending it and moving forward (or out and that is moving forward). You stop thinking about therapy and you find a therapist. You stop daydreaming about a better career and you search for one or create one. You stop writing a plan and begin to implement the plan. You have a health change and it prompts you to eat healthier, exercise more, change your lifestyle.

These changes in our lives can cause us to MOVE in a new way and in a new direction. Kinetic Energy. Creating positive reactions that ripple throughout eternity.

Boom! I bombed out in physics (and chemistry) in high school, and as I read your article I started to get the shakes, but I made it to the end. ha ha. You made an excellent point about relationships. Movement can bring positive results but also negative. However, inertia gets you nowhere and nothing. I’m siting from the A to Z Hop and, despite your massive flower (too much for me sorry ha ha), I’ll be back.

LOL this made me laugh! I was not good at physics either! It kept me off the Honor Roll one semester. Gave me my first C ever! Devastated! I am glad you made it to the end.
