Sunday Morning Coffee Musings: Open Up to SIMPLE Obedience

What I like about my relationship with God is that God will wait until the seemingly the oddest times to talk or respond to me. Yet, it is the perfect time because the chatter in my mind or emotions in my heart have quieted or settled. It’s the perfect time. There I was trying to read today’s section in a book and:

“You were obedient. Obedience is LOVE. You were vulnerable. Vulnerability is POWER. The vulnerability you displayed allowed others to connect to your POWER and it comforted them by letting them know they were and are NOT ALONE. That’s all I needed you to do. It was perfect.”

I was at an event Saturday and I felt like I missed the assignment although I did what was asked of me. I felt like maybe I should have done more. Sometimes, that’s all God asks you to do. God asks you to do something seemingly simple. God didn’t instruct me to strike the rock. God asked me to speak to it. That’s all I needed to do. I can rest assured knowing that a seed was planted, hearts were opened that I could not see.
