I’ve featured this tree in my blogs before because it’s magnificent and one of my favorite trees all year long. I love to watch it change throughout the seasons. Sometimes I walk past it and say, “Just checking on ya” as try to get my exercise in.

This is the way it looks as of last week and soon she will be bare. It is a shift in seasons and a shift in power. It is a shift from autumn/fall into winter. She’ll still be tall and grand but, bare. Is her leaves or height her glory? I say the fact that she can stand and withstand the seasons of her life is her glory. The fickleness of spring. The drought of summer. The winds and loss of leaves from fall. The nakedness of winter. And so much more from all of these seasons. Even when no one is around, she has her good days and bad days. And she stands. She stands on the blooming days of spring and waits her turn while rejoicing in the blooming of nature around and beneath her. She welcomes a summer rain and gleams, glistens after the storm. She turns many lovely shades in fall and dances with the wind. And in winter she remains alive and still. Peaceful. Reflective. Nurturing within. Resting. Planning. Resting more. Glory.
There is a shift in power. Your power. Their power. It is what you do with the shift in your power that matters the most. Know and learn the significance of each season in your personal life, globally, spiritually, and in nature. Nature is speaking to you through each season. Winter is approaching. Embrace it. Embrace it from a spiritual perspective and maybe not make it so much about how you “hate” winter (if that is you because it certainly was me up until last year).
