As a person who gets easily overwhelmed just thinking about all that needs to be done and therefore setting off anxiety, maybe I can help us. Lately, I have had an increasing number of “almost” panic and anxiety attacks. Just yesterday I was thinking about ALL that I have to do this month and this thought popped into my head, “Are these things you HAVE to do or things you WANT to do? And what things do you REALLY want to do versus things that would be “nice” to do? What things do you feel obligated to that are not really an obligation at all. You just feel guilty if you don’t do it or show up to do it.”

Ahh, something to ponder about. It would be nice to go to every event I saw but I would need the ENERGY and FINANCES to do all of those things. There are some things I feel obligated to attend but, I really don’t want to attend. And then there are things I want to attend but they are not an obligation. I have contemplated Christmas Dinner with family and have decided to attend.

So, I ask you these questions “Are these things you HAVE to do or things you WANT to do? And what things do you REALLY want to do versus things that would be “nice” to do? What things do you feel obligated to do that are not really an obligation at all. You just feel guilty if you don’t do it or show up to do it.” Weigh this and decide this month. Lay out your events and appointments and decide now to relieve pressure.
