What does money have to do with a good time? You didn’t have any money as a child but you considered the simple things in life as “fun” or a good time. Being outside was fun and if you played the games of childhood with your friends, it was a good time. Birthday parties were pizza or hot dogs, punch and chips, it was a memorable moment. When you grew older, just hanging out with your friends or doing things creatively or listening to music was fun.
This month, this weekend, have some fun. Have a good time. I don’t care if you have money or not. Go to a beautiful park, bring lunch and enjoy the fresh air. Have coffee or whatever you fancy on the patio of a local coffee house, have a conversation with the person you are with that doesn’t involve complaints or bring a book or laptop and chill. Peruse local fall festivals and crafts fairs. Have some fun this weekend. Fully immersed in the moments, feel the extraordinary of ordinary.
