The Capacity

Capacity, the amount something can contain and also the amount something can produce.

“I trust in my capacity to give and receive love as I move into the new year”

There are levels to giving and receiving. What do I mean. Sometimes one can reach their capacity to give love to a person in such a way that may have become harmful or just one sided. Therefore, I may have to love you in a different way such as from a distance and with the love of the Lord. Unconditional love does not mean unconditional tolerance. With this in mind, I can align with this affirmation.

Also, there have been times when some people have given love to me based on what I do or what I can do for them. It was based on if I did everything they thought I should do and as long as I stayed in their good graces, they gave me love. I no longer accept selfish love. With this in mind, I can align with this affirmation.
