What Did You Do To Deserve “This”?

Dear Men,

You did nothing to deserve verbal, emotional, financial abuse from your spouse. Nothing. I do not care if you married the wrong person or chose the wrong person, you still do not deserve ANY type of abuse.

I address this towards men because many times we think men don’t experience abuse or we consider them weak if they do experience it. And often times, they do not tell anyone what they are experiencing because they know other will not believe them or they will be thought of as WEAK. They internalize it. They have strokes. They have heart attacks. They die. They live in misery until they leave this earth. We as a society make LIGHT of the abuse of men.

If you are a man experiencing any abuse, say something. Take action. Reach out. YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING TO DESERVE THIS.
