I know it’s spring and things are popping out of the ground. It’s the cranking of nature, people, places, things and activities. I get this feeling sometimes that I am behind. I must get it done. It must go according to plan. And you know what happens when I get this feeling? Things usually don’t go the way I want them to go. I run into these huge blocks and I become frustrated and start to think, “Oh, great! I am even further behind this week, this month, this life!”

There is this saying in my culture or maybe it’s in everyone’s. “Slow but, sure” or if you are from some parts of the south, “Slow but, sho”. It means, “I may be slow but, I am sure to get where I am going.” It can also mean, the day is slow but things are going pretty good. I believe there is a season, a time and a place for most things. However, I tend to get in a rush and life, circumstances, God, Mercury Retrograde (lol) slows me down. It just knocks everything I have set up on the table (schedule) over and says, “Nope!” I want to get moving. Get going. But this is a rev your engines season or a start off at a steady pace and then pick up the speed in summer and fall. If life is a race, it’s not a sprint. In fact it’s more of like a journey with some marathons and sprints here and there.

So, spring is active and so am I. So are you. But for some of us the message is easy does it. Pace yourself. Don’t overload yourself. Don’t over do it. You’re going to need that energy later on.

I needed to hear this now, especially since I’m two days behind on the A-to-Z Challenge!
