Be patient parents with your YOUNG ADULTS, they are still trying to figure out who they are, who they are becoming. They are dabbling in their own styles and figuring out what they like and no longer like. Your princess doesn’t like pink any more. Your “buddy” doesn’t like blue but now likes rockstar vibes. Your mini-me was never meant to be you. They were meant to BECOME themselves, an individual.
It’s a PROCESS. It’s better you SUGGEST, ADVISE, REMIND. You don’t have to COMMAND, DEMAND, INSIST, MANIPULATE, CONTROL. You might have to accept and PRAY. I hope you’re not the same in your 40s and 50s as you were in your 20’s. Please give them GRACE and MERCY and LOVE. And the occasional eyeroll.

I had to be my own photographer since my daughter was away with her dad. I don’t care for the way jumpsuits fit on me, but when I tried this one on I loved it! Plus, it was on clearance at Target!
A really good deal at a consignment shop. This dress was begging to come home with me and for a little under $20, which was my budget, I obliged. I wore this Easter Sunday. I really wish I would have had some yellow or white heals but, the nude heels went well.
It’s not dots but it reminds of 101 dalmations! So cute! I love this Liz Claiborne Blouse and I paired it with a brightly designed purse to give the entire outfit a splash of color. I am also wearing Liz Claiborne shoes. Both the shoes and the blouse came from JC Penny and were on clearance.
In this photo I wore the necklace I posted which was from Talbots. A 59.99 deal for 11.85. Shopping clearance is awesome. I did a little makeup and yes that is my natural hair color.
I went to JC Penny’s to look for a black pencil skirt. It was on sale and this cute blouse by Liz Claiborne was on clearance. I stayed on budget. I really need to add more blouses to my…dare I say…wardrobe?
You see I have this thing with “blouses” as I am, to nicely put it, “top heavy” (lol!). I don’t like the way most blouses fit me. However, I tried it on and well to my surprise I liked it. Now I wonder how many cute blouses have I passed up because I thought it would “hang on me” and make me look as if I was floating. So, the lesson for me here is to TRY IT ON (I hate trying clothes on, but I hate bringing them back more!).
Here is the consignment jacket mixed with two dresses and some Vince Camuto outlet heels. I thought I would never be able to wear them again after I had surgery on my foot. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I no longer wear heels as often or as high. Plus it all depends on how the shoe is made.
ANY…WHO…I have always been a stylish chic and I will continue to do so making changes along the way. The jacket is the amazing deal I found for 14.99 with an original value of 219.00. You can see details on my blog under the Fashion Confetti tab. The red dress i from TJ MAXX around $20 and the black dress was definitely a clearance item. It’s mostly how I shop.

This is one of my favorite fashion shows in Memphis and if you are “Curvy” you should make your way to Memphis, TN around this time to catch it. I highly recommend the VIP tickets because it was well worth it. The reception, the photo ops, the food! Ashley Dean does a phenomenal job (always has), of putting this show together. Every thing was on point. The host this year was none other than GooGoo Atkins! She was amazing, live, full of fabulous-ness and down to earth! That is what I love the most…down to earth!

Sharing some style today. The skirt I picked up from a consignment shop. It’s a Coldwater Creek skirt (an excellent brand) and I got it for $8. There necklace and earrings also came grim the consignment shop. About $8 total. Shoes are by Antonio Melani $69 but I got them on clearance for $28. T-shirt fun Target $7
