Just a Little Make up! Fashionably Comfortable & Cute

IMG_20180420_184454

Well, if you have been following my blog you may know that I have Rheumatoid Diseases & Fibromyalgia. BUT, that will not stop be from being the fashionista I’ve always been. Trust, I get it from my mama! You don’t have to look like what you’re going through and you don’t have to spend a fortune or take 3 hours for make up! I just can’t! Not with these hands, arms, shoulders, and you get the picture!

Well, my nephew had a birthday party last Friday at the bowling lanes. It was a last minute decision for me to go. I quickly had to do something with my hair and with natural hair on a bad hair day it was a quick top knot. My lipstick is by Maybelline and the name of it is Violet Vixen. Of course eyebrows and mascara were applied but, no eye shadow. I always choose lipstick and mascara when I am in a rush. Done!

I needed comfortable shoes so I chose my black and white Nikes. I searched my closet for my black and white purse that was given to me years ago. And well there you have it. Oh yeah, the blouse is one I bought on clearance at Target. It’s in under my tab Fashion Confetti in another post.

Enjoy your Thursday aka Friday Jr.!

Fashion Blog: Thrift and Consignment Finds

IMG_20171023_175658_105

Here is a thrift find for 9.98! It was is excellent condition and with a lining. A lining makes all the difference! I have boots this color and I think they will look great with this jacket.

And a Sojour skirt for 8.99 I found at a consignment shop

I am certain I will get much wear out of these to items for a long time. I seem to never have enough skirts! I don’t know what happens to them. I think I need to invest in a few good quality and basic ones.

Fashion Confetti: Consignment Shops

IMG_20170512_132022

Let the record show, I am really good at this! (LOL) or just very fortunate to find such great deals to enhance my wardrobe. This Le Suit jacket is a separate and retails from 59.99-79.99 and to get it, and it fits perfectly, for 24.99 was awesome. It will add a big pop of color to outfits. The pants below are by Kasper and I saw them for about 69.99-79.99 printed patterns. 9.99 is what I paid. I wore them for mother’s day as I opted for the cool and casual mom look. I added my 6.98 top from Target, a purse that was a gift from someone years ago, and Nine West shoes from TJ Maxx that I already had in the closet. I really like those shoes. IMG_20170512_132132.jpg

Fashion Confetti: Target Clearance

IMG_20170512_130838_013

Just a few items from Target clearance. I wanted a few black and white tops for church and other dressy to casual outfits. I think you can do miracles with black and white pieces. It was a challenge to get a great shot of the black sheer blouse! (but it’s so so cute) And I really like the cropped sheer black and white blouse/top.

Fashion Confetti: Thrifting Gap

IMG_20170419_180916

Very cute dress with pockets! I like a dress or skirt with pockets. I found this summary dress made by the Gap at a thrift store. They were having a 50% of everything sale. I paid $4.50 for this little dress and I plan to take it on vacation. I hope I can find some gold sandals and maybe accessorize it with gold jewelry or tone it down with brown sandals and brown/bronze jewelry? Who knows we will see and I will show you when I do wear it.

Fashion Confetti:101 Dalmations

It’s not dots but it reminds of 101 dalmations! So cute! I love this Liz Claiborne Blouse and I paired it with a brightly designed purse to give the entire outfit a splash of color. I am also wearing Liz Claiborne shoes. Both the shoes and the blouse came from JC Penny and were on clearance.

In this photo I wore the necklace I posted which was from Talbots. A 59.99 deal for 11.85. Shopping clearance is awesome. I did a little makeup and yes that is my natural hair color.

Fashion Confetti: $40

img_20170215_190324

I need a pair of dull black heels, no shine, and very comfortable. Many time my illness can make my very high heels impossible. These are peep toe and comfortable, stylish, but just like a woman, I still need a pair that is not peep toe lol! Men don’t have so many options, so I think they are not qualified to ask “Why do you have so many shoes?” There are so many colors, so many occasions, so many…options….. (ha ha ha….but true!). I purchased them from JCPenny’s. A $60 pair of shoes on clearance for $17.99. Liz again and they feel so good to my feet. Also, I want to point out that before my illness I always varied wearing my heels, which I like high. Wearing high and very high heels can damage your feet, toes, knees, hips, and back over a period of time. I think this may be one reason I can still wear them with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had surgery on my foot a few years ago because of Rheumatoid. So, take it from a shoe fanatic…every day, 8 hours a day, is not a good look. Give your feet a rest. Treat them to pedicures, massages, cute flats and fly sneakers.

I always thought going into Talbots with my Mom as a child was for the classy and mature crowd. I go  with her and I am starting to find some things I like. Am I getting older??? Of course! But my style has always been hard to pin down. Especially, since I go with how I feel and the occasion. Talbots makes you feel so special when they wrap your items! This was and amazing deal 59.50 for 11.85!!!! Faints…

I have black and gold earrings made with a pointy end and I thought this would go nice with it for 5.99.

The budget was $25 and I spent roughly $22 but the jewelry together is about $65 without clearance. Oh, yeah, $10 of my budget came from a Ellen Tracey zip up cardigan I sold at a consignment shop. 65% off plus another %20
